In a Cloud of Cat Piss

Wow. I have got a lot of catching up to do. Last Friday, my dad gave me the crazy idea to go to Greenport from Saturday to Sunday. Carrie and I got a ride back to LI and were ready to go the next morning, but he cancelled. We decided not to let it get us down, and went out to Montauk. We got a delicious lunch at Gossman's on the water. I tried steemers for the first time ever. They were SO good. We then drove into the Hamptons and walked around for a bit. Jani was working so we went out and visited him, and then drove back to H-ton. We made a stop at MC's and then hit the hay.

Sunday was a gorgeous day, so I talked Carrie into going to the beach with me. We met up with Julia and Nicole, Julia's sister Jackie and their friends Max and Sean. We had a really great day and the water was perfect. After that, me and Carrie went to Tula Kitchen in Bayshore to get a drink or two before Kim's birthday party. Kristen was working and hooked us up big time. We met up with Craig and one of his friends and brought them to Kim's, which was held at La Tavola in Sayville. Kim was absolutely radiant and we all hung out outside for a while and laughed and caught up.

After that, Carrie, Craig, Lauren and I headed back to my house so we could eat burgers and pass out. What a full weekend.

Convocation

This morning I woke up mad early to go to my convocation for M.A. candidates. It was a long and boring ceremony, but there were some high points during good speeches that almost brought a tear to my eye.

They served champagne afterward at the reception, with strawberries and creme dip. It was fabulous. We stood outside in the beautiful weather on the lovely campus drinking and smuggling bottles of champagne. It was glorious. Tomorrow, another one of these assemblies will ensue for the commencement ceremony.

After our strawberries and champagne, my mom, Carrie, and Katherine and I all went to amsterdam to get some grub. We had a lovely lunch and then came home and napped. Woke up around 8:30 and headed out to SEA for dinner. Yummy.

On a different note, I just found out last night that Kristen is moving out during the first week of July. It makes me kind of sad, because I really love living with her and spending time with her. She truly is an amazing person. It is really awesome that I am so lucky to have gotten to live with someone who I get along with on so many levels. Someone I can go to art galleries with, do topless collages and take ambien with. I hope my next roomie is as cool, however that is a really tall order.

Baby, Down on White Street.

Last night PJ, Nick and the gang had a party in their loft. I invited Kristen from LI and her, Carrie and I headed over at around 11. I couldn't believe how many people were there. The whole hallway was filled with random hipster strangers. It was really weird. After a little while, PJ Got pissed because rumor had it, the cops were on their way. The cops never showed up, but I helped them clean up the hallway regardless. PJ was pissed, Nick was drunk, and I kept running out to the hallway with Kristen so we didn't have to stand in that mosh pit of a party. There were 2 kegs and a few people I haven't seen in a while that I really enjoyed seeing. Two of the people I was most excited to see were Mike Del Rio and Cass Dillon. Two summers ago I spent a lot of time with these boys, both of whom make beautiful music. (Check out their myspaces with the links provided, Cass actually played a song with Billy Joel). Anyway, they're both playing a show on Monday at Highland Ballroom, I am just itching to go. I just need somebody to go with.

It was really great to see Kristen. This was the first time she came out to BK to visit me. I forget how vivacious and bubbly she is. She is definitely great company and always puts me in high spirits. Ryry was also there, on a lot of drugs. Last time I talked to him, he went to rehab and was clean for 6 months. I guess old habits die hard.

Carrie and I left kind of early and made a cute video which I am not at liberty to share. I fucking love my wifey. I made cookies and we ate all of them. I feel like a big fatty today. Oh I also painted my door frame red last night. It adds some zest to the apt I think.

Tonight roomie Kristen and her bff Anna are having a post valentines day party. I am stoked. I guess party season is beginning again, after a long and arduous January. Lets see how I fare out with school work. Luckily, I was able to drop one of my classes because my anthropology prof let me take my independent study for 4 credits instead of 3. That should lighten my work load considerably. Yay! I love Brooklyn!

(p.s. Sorry to overwhelm you with pictures of myself and Carrie. I am not that vain, these are just silly and fun, so I can't help myself.)
